Group or Launchpad roles assessment of what’s available, but needing to be tailored to Client

Prevent “tile shock” – users are simply overwhelmed and can’t find what they need. Once that happens you have lost user adoption benefits and it can be a long road back to re-establish user confidence and trust.

  1. Intuitive tile texts in end user terminology – so that end users are confident they are choosing the correct app

  2. Effective grouping of tiles for ease of identification – to help users quickly find what they need

  3. Appropriate sort order for optimal user performance– such as putting most frequently used apps first

  4. Core vs. Context apps – which apps need to be available on the Launchpad on day 1 vs. rarely used or not yet understood apps to be removed to the App Finder (formerly known as the Tile Catalog) for future consideration

Outcome -> Configuring the Fiori Launchpad, collaboration with Organisational Change Management to manage end user engagement activities is extremely helpful to optimize the launchpad for employee productivity.

Usual Next Steps for functional streams during implementation project after UX strategy

  1. Group / apps view

  2. Common apps, home page design

  3. Frequently used apps identification
